The UKSA turns 3!

The magnificent UK Sommelier of the Year competition was a fitting 3rd birthday celebration for us. It not only brought so many of our members together either as candidates or as audience/supporters/community, but was also the debut for The IWSC, who have been our major sponsor and all-around support and friends of the UKSA, as new owners of the competition. Christelle Guibert and her team excelled themselves!

We couldn’t have asked for a better birthday gift than the gathering, championing our amazing UK Sommelier talent and bringing together so many of us, to share in the thrill, delight, tension and awe of the contest.

The board and fellow supporters of the UKSA have worked tirelessly to create something uniquely special by sommeliers for sommeliers (and other wine professionals).

Although they are still recovering from all the hard work that went into the development and judging of the event (all good parties have to have some recovery time!), they are simultaneously inspired by our members, encouraged by the chorus of compliments and gratitude, for the important work we are doing, and excited because there’s plenty more to come!
