The UKSA team and sponsors celebrate a vintage year

Monday 11th of December saw the annual festive dinner and paulée for the team from the UK Sommelier Academy and its wonderful sponsors.

As a not-for-profit organisation, the UKSA depends on the generosity of the wonderful board and associated team members who lend time away from their demanding roles at the elite end of the wine profession to contribute their passion and expertise to aid the building of the academy, of excellence, inclusion and community, that sommeliers based in the U.K deserve.

In addition to thanking them, we wanted to acknowledge the IWSC and Christelle Guibert for their vital sponsorship. Without their donations and support, none of what we do would be possible.

We enjoyed the exceptional food and service provided by Cabotte.

For such an occasion and with a table surrounded by master sommeliers, it was no surprise that the bottles brought for la poulée were of the highest quality but also represented lesser-known gems, to enjoy introducing and sharing with the others. All combined to provide a wonderful convivial atmosphere of bonhomie!
